With the Community Poll series finishing up on its 30th season, we are now slowly reaching the end with the final ten seasons. A Question popped up in my mind… “what is next?” Of course, we will be having the Ultimate All-Winners Showdown Poll, but that would only take about as long as a regular season poll would, maybe double. But the question still remains “what is next after that?” That’s when a dear friend of mine, Evan Bonjibod, came to me with a perfect idea to for the future of our community polls: A Dream Season. Evan has done more for this channel than you can imagine: he moderated in Virtual Survivor, uploaded all the resource videos, has run the polls ever since Season 16, and he is the creator of the ‘Survivor Geek Extras’ channel.

In the spirit of reaching 30,000 subscribers, and getting into our 31st season. We decided that the Dream Season’s theme would be: Second Chance. If you have been around long enough, you know that we have had a 'second chance' poll at the end of each season. From these polls we have seen shocking, obvious, and satisfying results, but little did you know, you have been filling up the ballot for the cast of this Dream Season. But it is not full yet, we still have to backtrack to the first two seasons, then the remaining eight in the 30s, and then we will vote for who gets to be in the cast of our Dream Season: Second Chance.

This Dream Season will not be a typical dream season you find in Blogs, YouTube, or BrantSteele, where you either vote to keep someone in or to vote them out. Typically, a fan favorite would win due to the voters throwing the game to benefit them. But that will not be the case here. In our Dream Season, it will be much more in depth and your choices really have an impact on how the game will play out, here’s an example:

During the marooning, Jeff instructed the castaways to grab as many supplies from the boat as they can in 2 minutes and then sail to their camps. During all that chaos, Sabrina and Jaclyn from opposite tribes fought over a basket of fruits, Sabrina was able to snatch it from her and tossed it to her tribe’s boat. She then noticed a note with the words “secret advantage” on the crate where the fruit once was.

“Does she pick it up?” The Poll is Yes or No? If Yes, she now has an advantage she can use at any point in the game to save herself or an ally. If No, Jaclyn gets it and now she can use it however she wants. One’s inability to make the right decision at the right time, can cost them the game. Much like the real Survivor.

There will be more situations than just this, there will be challenges, idols, swing votes, social plays, camp life and many more, some situations will be affected by the player themselves and their personality, physicality and/or game savviness. This adds a layer of complexity and you won’t really know what the vote may lead to. You risk your favorite player getting voted out at any time, you can be blindsided by a choice you made a week ago. However, you can still theorize and strategize with other people in the community in the comment section to see what they think and make a decision using their thoughts. It’s going to be a wild ride!

Lastly… we want this Dream Season to be the Community’s Dream Season. The details of the series are not yet final, in fact it has barely begun, so if you guys have any ideas for this season (Twists, Advantages, Mechanics, Storyline, Choices, Character Arcs, etc.) please comment down below - we might be able to fit your idea into this project and truly make this the Community Dream This is just a short announcement of what will happen after we finish the polls, it will still be long time before we start this. So, we hope you like the idea and maybe it will lead into a brand-new poll series!

With our Season 40 polls wrapping up, you might think that it's over now. Well, no we're not done just yet, we have 2 very exciting poll series lined up and we can't wait to see them play out. First is the All-Winner version of our community polls thus far, which will be called "Favorites at War", containing 40 fan favorites all battling it out for your votes to become the ultimate Sole Fan Favorite. The Second is a Dream Season for all the second chancers that you have been voting for along the way. This will be an interactive poll series, where you will decide how the season will go. 36 players have been put in the ballot, 24 will be chosen, and in 39 days, 1 will become the sole survivor of our Dream Season. So I've got a few questions for you guys; What do you think the alliances will be? Who do you think will form bonds? Who will find the Hidden Immunity Idols? And who do you think will win this game?

And of course if you guys have any more ideas on how the season will work, some voting mechanics, advantages or twists, even story-driven events that can happen at the Tribes' camps.

With the Favorites at War era of our channel finally wrapping up, it is time to set anew with our new poll series: Dream Seasons.

The question is simple, in your head, who do you think should win a fictional season of survivor and how do you get them to win it? In our new series we will be testing how capable you guys are at strategizing, alliance building, and playing the game of survivor, because it is a game about making the right decisions at the right time, as Ghost Island would put it: "one bad decision can haunt you forever".

So, we're gonna be putting that idea to the test by allowing you guys to make the castaways' decisions for them through a series of Polls, where in the end, your decisions for them will decide who wins our little Dream Season.

So here's how Dream Seasons would work:

This will be the primary format for this season

-24 castaways

-2 starting tribes

-a 3rd auxiliary tribe (just confirming it now, but wont tell you when exactly it will happen)

-No Edge of Extinction or Redemption Island

-Hidden Immunity Idols and Advantages will be in play

-Number of Jury Members and when the Merge will happen will remain a mystery for now

-No Final 4 Fire making

-Final 3, and Old Final Tribal Council Format (from season 1-33)

-And it will happen 'live' for 39 whole days (Eastern Standard Time)

There will be 3 main 'locations': Camps, Challenges and Tribal Councils, other 'extra island' twists may come into play in the future, but not for now. So first are the Camps, where it can take place any time during the day and will take place here on YouTube. This is where you will be making decisions about alliances, bonds, strategy, idol hunts and other social aspects of the game. There can be polls for you to do decide a castaway's action, or just a plain old written post to just update you guys in what's happening at their camp and what the alliances are and who is with who and what do the castaways think of each other.

Challenges will always happen at 8 am to 12 nn (EST, and if there is one for that day), they will happen here in YouTube and they will start and end in that time frame, do note that I cannot physically close YT polls, so I will just be making an announcement post around the next hour that the challenge has ended and here are the winner/s. Challenges can be for reward or immunity, I have already predetermined which challenges we will be doing. However a concern of mine is that people will be "throwing" everything toward one player and have them win it all, so in order to prevent this, some challenges will not be determined by you in a poll, but instead will be decided through simulation or random chance, but you will still be deciding for the majority of the challenges. The polls can be just one, or multiple, or a small tournament of sorts, or even a combination with some simulation and a choice from you guys.

Tribal Councils will always happen at 8 pm to 12 mn (EST, and if there is one for that night), they will happen in a third party poll making site called "Strawpoll" (the same site we used to determine the cast for this season), but I will be making a post with links toward the website and you can just vote there. Strawpolls can be set up to start and end in a specific time, so we will only be giving you 4 hours to vote someone out. You will all have access to every castaway's vote (in that tribal) and pick which of their targets will they vote for. This is also the case for advantages, where you will also decide if that castaway will use it that night or not. Then everything will be tallied and then in the next hour, I will make a post where someone will be voted out of the game. As for Tiebreakers we'll be giving you an additional 2 hours for the revote, and if it is deadlocked, rocks will be pulled or a Fire Making Challenge will happen (which will be decided by simulation).

If there is a tie in any polls (aside from the ones at tribal) it will not be broken by you guys, instead it will be broken by random chance. So keep that in mind. There will also be a "storyline" in terms on the alliances and strategy for each tribal council, so for you to better understand, there will be a Practice Immunity Challenge and Tribal Council tomorrow, so that you can properly see how those things will play out.

The real dream season will officially start at Monday, July 12th. You better be ready.

As I noticed during the Day 0 - Practice round, the Tribes were not balanced in terms of fan favoritism, as evidenced by the 72-28 immunity challenge landslide... So I decided to shuffle them to make them a little more balanced, right before the season starts.

Right before we start our Dream Season, I will make a couple announcements, rule adjustments and answer some frequently asked questions.

So first of all, this season will be 100% hypothetical and fictional, all the scenarios and events does not transpire to real life, if someone is portrayed as villainous, I do not mean it in any harm. Let us all just have fun with this Dream Season.

A couple of you have reached out in the comment sections, and I have reading and considering your suggestions, and here is what I have to say:

Why are we using Strawpolls?

- Well, I am sure that none of us will like it if our YouTube community page is flooded with 12 or so polls every 3 nights, that's just too much, so in order to make it easier for me to organize, count up your votes and manage everything... I will be using Strawpolls, as it is easy to use and mass produce a bunch of polls, then just giving the links to you guys.

Is there a way to prevent certain fan favorite players, from having the whole game be "thrown" in their favor?

- Yes, some challenges won't be dictated by a poll, but instead through simulation and random chance, so there's a chance for everyone become "even" in those points. And there will be some advantages that will allow for intense gameplay, and when the smoke settles, they could've been already eliminated.

Why not have a poll and then use the percentages on a randomizer to dictate who wins challenges??

- While I understand that that will make it a little more fair... but I disagree, it would be completely lousy... if the tribe with 25% beats the tribe with 75%... but as I said, there will already be precautionary measures to prevent one player from absolutely dominating this game, even if there is an Ulonging, each tribal will just become more and more difficult as the tribe goes down one by one, I am sure that you can all see the light in fairness of challenges, and let Koror lose once in a while.

How about letting us "have" an Hidden Immunity Idol through a small competition, that we can use to play to save someone from being voted out.

- Well... no. I don't want any one person to have absolute power to influence this game on their own. everyone should have that power. But I do agree that making you decide who finds an idol is a little unfair, as that allows for an easy route to save someone, so I now won't have you guys decide that, I will just "give" an idol to a certain player, I will simulate the idol hunt and give it to a player based on a few criteria; how desperate of a situation they are in in this season, and how good they are in finding idols in their past season, so I hope that'll make it a little fair. But I will still allow you to choose whether or not an idol or advantage will be played in tribal (like in Day 0).

Is there a way to properly simulate split votes?

- Yes and No... It will totally just depend your decisions, because I want each tribal to have 2 or 3 or more people at risk of going home that night. Then each target will have "plan" to voted off on, lets look at Pagbawi's practice tribal council, Plan A is to vote off the outsider Ken near-unanimously, Plan B is to blindside Sabrina with at least 7 votes and Plan C is to blindside Dom with a split vote. and It is just up to you guys, which of those three plans will actually work out in that tribal. And it looks like you guys went with Plan B on that one. But I do see the flaw, that I didn't make the plans much clear... so I will work on improving those, when we do get to a tribal council.

Why can't we just... vote for someone else?

- Because it won't make sense story-wise that a player who is playing great socially with no targets on their backs yet, will be available to be voted off at any time. It'll just be a huge blindside for everyone. So each player's voting poll, will only contain their targets as their choices in that poll. Well... unless there is a null vote, then we will just go down the pecking order, or a deadlock/rock draw... which anyone can go home in that point. But I will make it fair that everyone will be available to be voted off at some point in the premerge for whatever reasons (unless they go in an immunity streak).

Can we make alliances with each other?

- Up to you how you wanna play this game, just make it fair for everyone else.

Should we expect twists?

- YES!! You should expect all sorts of twists in this season, tribe swaps, joint tribals, advantageddon 2.0, and many more.

And here's another adjustment, I will no longer make any polls during "camps" it'll just be strictly written community posts about the story, tribe dynamics and strategies going on at camps. Because you can all just make the decisions at tribal councils. And it's gonna make it a little easier for me to manage everything.
